week 52 of 52: reflections

it has been exactly one year since this little one came to our home. she has grown up a lot over the last year. i thought she would not be a good fit for us but she has actually gotten us out on many walks and bike rides that we would probably not have found the motivation to take unless she were here. it was a rough adjustment period but after a year's time i think she might work into a really good companion. she thinks she is a third kid and her favorite thing to do is sneak up to the boy's room and take one of their stuffed animals just to her own bed and lay with it. she loves my boys. as she grows older she marks time for me. getting her last christmas was a good decision. she makes some things a little more tricky such as travel and leaving the house for the entire day but for her presence in our home i am grateful more of the time than not.

week 51 of 52: gifts

my most treasured gifts are with me around our tree in this image. they are all i really really need and i feel as though they are gifts beyond my deservedness.

week 50 of 52: twinkle twinkle

i love my christmas tree and blurry seems to bring out the lights even more. it is on almost all day long and well into the night!

week 49 of 52: very early

for the past number of weeks my days have started very early traveling to this building. its been a good way to start my days. just wanted to remember this trek for later.

week 48 of 52: on a walk

this time of year our walking paths are full of christmas cheer!

week 47 of 52: grateful

so many things about this photo that make it my "grateful" photo. thanksgiving dinner with just the four of us in our home. simple and delicious without all the stress and work. great convo with our 7 year olds at the table. funny. and easy clean up! happy to just pull out the point and shoot for morgan to take a photo of us. no big camera fuss. grateful for this time right now.

week 46 of 52: view from above

on the day of check out from our hotel rod drove the baggage cart and the boys rode only after they got to help with the many bags of luggage up and down the elevator. this task ended up being a favorite for them.
